I hate reviews of custom installs that don't list their use case. I have a TV stand for my home theater with closed cabinets. The cabinets are sealed fairly well except at the back where there is an oval opening for wires about 15 inches long. In a closet I keep a home theater computer that runs 24/7 for DVR services. It's overkill for a graphics card and processor, but it still heats up the case noticeably, about 15 degrees above ambient idle temperature. On the 2nd shelf I have an Xbox One S that gets pretty hot when in use. . While there have been no failures, this is an issue. This fan was the solution. Location when cutting (and when drilling my 4 holes). Unit stood upright, secured with nuts/bolts. The packaging was better than expected for the product/price. The quality is very presentable. I didn't choose a temperature controller. (for now) but might consider it in the future. n Powered by USB, even at high settings. I didn't feel that a wall plug was required for my application and using my PC to power the fan. In general a high quality product. I just installed it and haven't tried it yet, but it looks like a useful product. I will update after a few days of use.
