Good first. You can perform a new scan and add it to an existing scan. Now for the bad, it only picks up very close and strong stations, switching between stations is very slow, it doesn't have a program guide, and the remote band doesn't work well with some features (on/off is ten feet, others maybe up to eighteen Foot). It's odd to me that this is the device with the highest image quality rating from Consumer Reports, but all you see are unkind reviews.
