I wish I had bought one

Chucks don't hold pens securely and they don't move freely. The "fingers" of the cartridge are not removed when the clamp is released, they must be pushed back by hand if possible. It looks like the mechanism will break very quickly, but I won't wait, I'll smash it now. for me it was a waste of money

Pros
  • Portable, easy to use
Cons
  • Expensive

Always look good when choosing your size.

Everything mentioned in the more negative reviews materialized, plus some. The mechanisms that hold the pin sensors don't move smoothly or move at all. It takes some work to get them to retract when you need to replace the sensor. I ordered three - one can really only be used on one side (the other literally popped out - I assume the ends are glued?). You don't hold the pens very well. The third works well so far (sensors are configured, so will not be changed). I think keep looking and maybe…

Pros
  • Range: 0.251"-0.5005"
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Doesn't hold the needle very securely.

Not suitable for our purposes. Even after turning them by hand, they still didn't hold the pins securely enough that they wouldn't be pulled out by the pieces of wood we measured. In fact, I was able to grab the ends of the pins and pull them out with little effort. I suppose we could turn them with wrenches but the jaws didn't look like they would take much pressure before breaking so I returned them. I didn't give them a star because they may be suitable for use by others and the jaw design…

Pros
  • Additional handles and bushings are not required.
Cons
  • socket required.
