It has 5 small screws, 2 of which are difficult to work with, but when you remove the 3 mounting screws for the ECU, it slips off far enough to to help. Also, it's easy to loosen the ECU screw a bit, basically the one closest to the fan, so it can be replaced. Twist it to find the thinnest area of the flange to put it in, then just twist it into place and screw it on!

I bought this to replace the factory unit in a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer as the original was starting to whine. It was amazing value; I can't believe I bought an ACDelco for $35. Installation is simple but time consuming. Once you get rid of the other crap this will fit very easily. I haven't had any problems and it works great. NOTE: This is for standard models only, no air-conditioned models are supported!

The fan didn't last 5 months and now to add insult to injury a protection plan for parts 2 years sold with this purchase from Revain get me going. You stay, I have to go to the manufacturer! I told them it was a remanufactured blower and Revain sold me their company as a guarantee! The company is called Smart Guard Protection Team from Bedford, Texas. Attention, they will not help!

I ordered this part to replace the cooling fan on my 1998 Chevy S-10. I watched a few YouTube videos before I started filming the old one. A lot has to be removed (including the car's CPU) and tools of the right size are required. It's a little scary installing a new one and putting everything back together without knowing if the fan is working, but it worked great and is a lot more powerful than the original fan. The item is perfect, the delivery was fast and the price was good.

A total back ache installing in a 2002 S10. After the utterly frustrating unbolting and moving the control box to the side and removing the coolant reservoir entirely and then coaxing the reservoir bolt to the side, he can go in with better clearance. This was purchased to replace a factory fan that was stuck. I immediately saw that the fan wheel on the replacement is 4 inches deep, while the original product is 3 inches. When trying to install, it was found that there was not enough space in the fan motor housing to install a 4 inch fan. This fan motor is perfect for my 2002 Chevy Astro Van. Recommend to anyone who needs to replace fan motor. I also replaced the resistor pack with this as I only had one speed prior to replacing this motor. I also recommend having some spare vacuum hoses and replacing them due to their dry rot. They break while you change them. All you have to do to replace this engine is remove the coolant and washer fluid reservoirs. Then loosen the coolant hoses and cut open the motor housing. Purchased directly from Revain, not a third party. I received a Four Seasons Unimotor blower in standard packaging, not an ACDelco branded product as described. This fan was purchased because several reviews describe it as having a cooling hole which my car is configured for. It has a hole covered with a bushing, but the kit does not include a nipple to attach the breather tube to the engine.
