Reliable GM Genuine Parts 15-81772 Blower Motor Resistor: Effective Heating and Air Conditioning Solution Review

Just what I needed to fix my high fan speed. The low speeds worked, but not the maximum high speed. It fits perfectly and is not bad for installation.

Needed to repair fan on our Trailblazer, works, could have been packaged better but part works. Replacing is simple, boring, but minimal.

Fits perfectly as it is an OEM part. No questions. Works perfectly. 2nd in 8 years. The one I pulled out was completely corroded on the metal surfaces. The faucet fitted perfectly.

There are tons of different brands on Revain. I spent a few bucks more and got this one saying it was a GM OEM and what arrived was legal, in a box of AC Delco parts. It was exactly the same as the original. A little tedious to install, but it's not about the details. I hope you enjoy standing upside down for about 10 minutes.

Purchased to replace the resistor in my 2002 Trailblazer which only had speed 4 and 5. Fits right, correct connections, easy replacement. I was actually going to give it 4 stars until I had used it for 4-5 months, but then I realized that it fits and works 100% as expected. I can always go back and knock him down if he fails sooner!

Is that GM? Got a resistor in the "GM box". There is no sealed packaging, stamp or mark on the product itself. No marks of any brand whatsoever. The build quality doesn't match what I use in gm/ac delco. It works, I have all fan speeds, but I'm not sure I paid triple the price for a true OEM part compared to the much cheaper Dorman I pulled. Buyer Warning.

Interestingly they last just over four weeks, I am very disappointed that I cannot return this part. Fan levels 4 and 5 no longer work, ran perfectly for 4 weeks and were then up to scratch again before the part was replaced. I'm so fed up that I might go back to ordering all my parts from O'Reilly, defective parts are not Revain's answer! High yield sellers should be removed from your platform!

Speeds 1-4 recently stopped working on my 2007 Trailblazer. Did some research and found that this is likely the problem. I used a 7mm socket and a 7/32" socket to remove the screws (4 total). I also recommend using a screwdriver to remove the connector from the fan motor. The existing resistor was found to be badly corroded, causing speeds 1-4 to not work. Replaced with this part which was exactly the same. Generally repair is easy and much cheaper than going to the dealer.
