Worked great! for brake pads

Worked great. While not difficult, this was the most difficult brake repair on my truck. That's the problem with my Silverado truck, not this part. Very happy with ACDelco in this part.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Compatibility

Good quality and fast shipping!

Easy installation. I actually had to fully open or release the brake to apply one side of the parking brake. I replaced this on my 2003 Chevy Suburban 4X4. The quality seemed great and has held up for a few months now. No complaints.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Legacy model

AC Delco = Best for any GM product.

Eventually had to replace the rear brakes on my 1999 Silverado NBS and also replace the parking brake. OEM is the way to go. 100,000+ miles with factory brake components before replacement. AC Delco on every GM product!

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Functionality

The original does its job

Works as it should, with my Tacho 05 there was an insane grinding noise on the driver's rear wheel after a sharp turn, I thought that was something really bad, but I kept going haha. Disassembled the brakes and the original pad broke causing a squeal with all the old stuff. Installed this and adjusted the small sprocket screw so the brake pedal didn't have to be on the ground to hold the truck and the parking brake worked again! Thanks very much!

Pros
  • Certificate GOLS
Cons
  • The list is long.

The shoes fit perfectly in the parking brake

The shoes were factory goods. There is a way to undress and put them on but there are many videos on You Tube about it and that will give you advice. The supplied screws for the clamps had a different thread, so like the others I used the original ones. I see a lot of bolts break so I remind you they are tightened in inch pounds so a light fit will do. You can also put just a drop of blue Loctite on each screw to hold them in place.

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • boring packaging

OEM replacement for 2005 Z71 Tahoe

Fits perfectly on my 2005 Z71 Tahoe (5.3 throttle). My old pads looked like they were 50% worn but for everything else I figured I might as well just replace them while I put the new brakes and rotors on so I don't have to worry. Some videos on the internet show people fighting. getting these things in and out of the car because of the hub, but had no problems. My only concern is that GM didn't think of having a viewing window on the back of the skid plate so you can adjust the parking brake…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Zero
