Description of πŸ”§ ACDelco Gold Ceramic Rear Disc Brake Pad Set, Model 17D883CH

Tested to SAE J2784 for braking effectiveness, along with Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) and durability/wear testing for assurance of quality. Ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic formulas provide safety and reliability for a range of vehicle applications. Integrally molded - friction material molded to backing plate for bond integrity. Premium shims, slots, and chamfers help to diminish noise, vibration, and braking harshness. Stamped backing plate allows for proper pad movement within the caliper assembly, reducing noise, brake pulsation, and helps to protect against premature wear. Some ACDelco Gold parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco Professional. Premium aftermarket replacement part. Manufactured to meet specifications for fit, form, and function for General Motors vehicles as well as most makes and models.

ACDelco Ceramic Rear Disc Brake Pads

My mechanic advised me to purchase these as part of a complete brake replacement on my Envoy. Very glad he did as my brakes are like new now.

Pros
  • Premium Aftermarket Part
Cons
  • Commercial Availability

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No problem.

Very happy with the pads. I didn't have to make minor changes that others suspect when installing OEM hardware. This is meant to be a step up from OEM.

Pros
  • Some parts of ACDelco Gold may be called ACDelco Professional
Cons
  • Modernity

The clips are the wrong size

This is my 3rd set and has always been very good. the quality seems to have gone down. Made in China and the clips are too big, I had to reuse the old ones after a test ride and they were so noisy and rubbing on the rotors. I won't buy them again

Pros
  • One piece - friction material is glued to the base plate to ensure the integrity of the joint
Cons
  • I don't remember

Precision fit and easy installation

I installed these on a 2007 Trailblazer. There were no difficulties during installation, there are no noises after several hundred kilometers of driving on both wet and dry roads. In general I am satisfied with their quality. The kit included all the necessary clamps and gaskets, including a small sachet of silicone brake grease.

Pros
  • Quality washers, slots and chamfers help reduce noise, vibration and hard braking
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Excellent OEM parts, perfect fit and performance

Quality parts to fit my 2004 Trailblazer. It comes with the lube package that I used. However, I did add some high temperature silicone brake grease to the grease points as per the instructions on the box. No problem, and the Trailblazer will stop with less pedal effort. I would buy them again without hesitation.

Pros
  • SAE J2784 tested for braking performance, noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) and durability/wear tests to ensure quality
Cons
  • not reliable

Oversized Pads and Inferior Hardware

The pads I received were slightly oversized and could not fit rear calipers on the Chevrolet Traverse 2009 I had to sharpen them a bit to eliminate interference and ensure proper movement. The included abutment clamping hardware was also very poorly formed with inconsistent placement and bend radius - the worst I've seen. I've seen several similar complaints about different sets of brake pads from ACDelco. Perhaps unsurprisingly for an unnamed supplier, I expect ACDelco will do well, especially

Pros
  • Manufactured to fit, form and function specifications for General Motors vehicles and most makes and models
Cons
