Wrong packed! for hydraulic parts

It was the correct part number but the internal brake hose was wrong, for the driver's side. Passenger side was correct.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Doesn't fit stated vehicle

They claim it fits the 2000 Escalade but it doesn't. Now that I'm done, the truck is down, the details are wrong. i don't like going to ac delco for the right part for a lot of money to get the wrong part then i can't even return it anymore

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

`Read this part before you buy

ACDelco Driver Side Front Brake Hose 18j4298 will not fit Caliper ACDelco 18fr1379 (Driver Side) the end of the hose that connects to the caliper will not fit the groove or bolt in the caliper. The slot on the caliper had to be cut into slots with a file to allow the end of the hose and the end of the bolt to engage and work without leaks. For GM., ACDelco products; Return to the drawing board and fix this design issue.

Pros
  • Beautifully packaged
Cons
  • Damaged

You need to change

First say that this is not an ACDelco product but a cheap brand. Along with everyone here, I also had to grind down the end of the caliper. The end is too wide! All brackets fit and the hose seems fine. Haven't noticed any leaks yet. WHEN CHANGING THE END, BE CAREFUL WITH HEAT! I think that's why some people are complaining about leaks. Heat will ruin curled ends. I would not buy this product again.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Works perfectly. - Brake system

Seems to be a good brake hose so far. They're only a few hundred miles away, but they're fine. As for the people who ride them on the grinder, those people shouldn't bother with the brakes. You are apparently unfamiliar with the conventional tilt head brake hose design. My old hoses had square heads with a short piece of hard cord bent in a staggered pattern to keep the soft part of the hose away from the caliper. Rotating the hoses 45 degrees does the same thing with these hoses and the headโ€ฆ

  • Very good value for money

Works best in the braking system

Passed 100% as planned (repair miracle lol) on my 2002 2WD Tahoe. It's actually as pictured, with a hose-to-brake line mounting bracket (which makes things a lot easier) and a new banjo bolt with washers. Some people might be confused because they updated the design: the part where they attach to the caliper is now at a 45 degree angle instead of 90 degrees. It's easy to understand when to replace it. No need to cut any material like people say oh my! There are also two different part numbersโ€ฆ

Fits but not quite like OEM

Present Although Revain stated it did not fit my 2003 Chevy Suburban, it was actually much better being closer to the OEM line than the other part Revain listed correctly fit (ACDelco 18J4299) . I've read that the ACDelco 18J4299 is only suitable if reground, which I didn't want to do. I had a square head on the end of the banjo instead of a triangular one like the ACDelco 18J4299. The only issue with this part is that it is 2 inches longer than the original part that I replaced. I was able toโ€ฆ

Then to make things worse.

ACDelco is a name I consider synonymous or at least equivalent to an OEM for a GM product. I will at least consider the possibility that Revain could be wrong in claiming that this is an exact match to my 2002 GMC Yukon Denali XL AWD. Above all; The banjo bolt eye is different from the OEM. I might be a little happier with the difference if it matches the calipers properly. One caliper fits, but the other caliper / "passenger side" I had to machine out part of the triangular nose to fit theโ€ฆ
