Boots, no more and no less.

I ordered these after realizing the drive pins on both front calipers had frozen. No doubt through years of use and some idiots (me!) not lubricating them when changing lasts etc. The boots are solidly built. I installed it yesterday and the brakes are like new. Okay, I won't overdo it, these are boots. I was able to install them when making the pins, they fit and provide protection. Good product.

4 large bushings/boots in this item fit snugly on the caliper pins. However, on the 2002 Subaru Forester (and other Subaru models, according to the Subaru forums) the lower left and front caliper slide pins have a notch on the underside that fits two small bushings. The two small bushings in this product were too thick because the sliding pin with the small bushing installed could not easily enter the hole. I had to reuse the original small bushing from the original slide pins, after which theโ€ฆ

Will not work with 4th Gen Subaru Legacy Brakes

I finally ventured onto the front brakes on my 2001 Subaru Legacy GT and decided to replace the dust boots and rubber bushings for the lower caliper slide pins. After seeing other reviews (other than one I found after the fact) I figured this would help. I was wrong. Firstly, as mentioned in another review, the lower bushings for the caliper slide pin are oversized meaning they don't fit all the way in, defeating the purpose of replacing them in the first place. I haven't had any luck withโ€ฆ
