Works great. This item needs to be programmed for your car. Be aware of this before you buy. Some people seem to leave negative reviews about things they don't understand. Many GM modules require programming in order for the vehicle that comes with them to function properly.

I bought a 2009 Silverado 2500 at auction and found the entire trailer brake control module and relay was missing. I ordered it and it was on my doorstep as expected. Installation went smoothly, no complaints. I got error code C1114 after installation and then realized I had to program it at my local auto ECM/programming shop for $100 so budget is at least that much since the local Chevrolet dealer is $160 wanted to.

So this module works as expected and the price is great. I even went for a cheaper used model and paid around $21. It's programmed to your VIN, otherwise you'll still get "Service Trailer Brake" messages on your DIC and/or no boost or manual shifting. If you're expecting to install and everything works right away, you're going to get frustrated.
