ACDelco 214 2149 Professional Canister Solenoid Review

This part is identical to the one on my 2006 Silverado 1500 WT 4.3L V6. However, auto parts stores including Revain will say this part will not fit. The recommended serving is around $150. The difference is that the new part actually consists of several parts. They moved the filter hoping it wouldn't clog as regularly as this one did. This new part costs $150 and is a little more difficult to install. I figured I could replace this $12 part 12 times before I could afford the cost of a new part.

This worked great on my 2005 K1500 Silverado. I could only fill the gas in short spurts but not even 1/4 gallon at a time what a pain in the ass. I think I "filled it up" before Hurricane Matthew when we were all queuing at the train stations. Replacing this part fixed the problem and I was able to do a full cast with no fuss. This AC Delco part #214-2149 is the same as GM GMC #25932571. It is the exact same part that is found on many Chevrolet Silverado's OEM was with a different part number (Chevrolet). Circa 2004 Chevrolet modified this part to accommodate a remotely mounted breather filter. If you are replacing the original unit with a "kit" and want to mount an air breather filter externally, the AC Delco part number is 214-2082.
