Works like clockwork

0449 on a 2010 Chevrolet Problem solved in 15 minutes. Make sure you have a heat gun to remove the hose, it's a lot easier. Advice I got from a man

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Requires socket

Fits 2008 Z71 Chevy Tahoe

ACDelco 214-2164 fits my 08 Tahoe perfectly and ties into my existing seat belt. I cleared the error code and the "Check Engine" light went out.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • too blunt

Pontiac G8 Base 3.6

Suitable for 3.6 engine. My car was giving out codes left and right, the car was hesitant to refuel while driving and had trouble starting after refueling. For the price it was a great starting point but it didn't solve my problem, I just ordered a flush valve and see if the problem persists.

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Weight

Fixed my check engine light on a 2009 Chevy Silverado

My check engine light was on my 2009 Chevy Silverado v6. This particular piece was the original steam canister. He had a problem with that. Fine. guided to check if the engine is fired. Chevy redesigned the part, and it costs around $100 at most auto parts stores. While this part may trigger another check engine light, $15 is a much better deal.

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • Wire is shorter than other options

Fixed code P0449 on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GT

2009 Pontiac G8 GT - need to clear P0449 and don't want to pay $1000 for theft? You can buy the entire system including the canister for $140 or simply replace the failed ACDelco 214-2164 OE Service Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid component. Lowering the rear support itself is easy (use lots of jack stands!) and requires a second hydraulic jack, but for the price of 12 packs you can get the car back on the road.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • volume

This resolved the OBD II code P0449 on my 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP.

This is the part that is likely to have failed if the 2009 Pontiac G8 is giving a Check Engine Light Code P0449. The matching part for the 2009 G8 is the vapor canister - GM part number 92221384. That's about $300 from the dealer plus maybe 3.5 hours of labor because the rear end and fuel tank have to come out to gain access. the part that went wrong and it's actually only build # 92221384. Also you save labor because a technician doesn't have to remove as much to get to that part and replace…

Fits my 2009 Chevy Silverado 5.3L (J) Florida

My check engine light came on at 22,300 miles. I went to AutoZone, they scanned my truck and found code P0449. It said it was a purge valve, vent solenoid, canister, etc. First I replaced the purge valve solenoid under the plastic inlet cover (under the hood) which just snaps into place. This part costs about $14, the cheapest part. I disconnected the battery and after 10 km the light came on again. I looked online for parts and the only one listed for my truck was a remanufactured part for…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
