Stay OEM! suitable for spare parts

came after sale with IAC valve and caused me so many problems. I paid the price and chose OEM. It was worth it. 99 speedo runs smoother than ever. I can't believe I went with the aftermarket and almost crashed. Delco is now in my Chevrolet Tahoe. The price is a bit high but I will pay for its safety and performance.

Rough Idling 01 S10 - 4.3

The engine has a rough idle, only when cold, but runs fine at normal operating temperatures. I learned the hard way to only replace electronic parts with genuine GM parts. Well, there's still a problem. There are no codes on my OBDII scanner. Further testing of other components revealed that the EGR valve had burned out. Have to order a new one but the OEM is over $100. I think I'll get a replacement EGR valve from the standard equipment. Hope this solves the problem.

Pros
  • High support and durability test results

The only one who buys.

2002 Cobalt 246 with Volvo Penta 8.1L engine (GM). Runs rough, doesn't start well, runs better after warming up, idles reportedly 550rpm but sometimes idles 1050 - all indicative of a bad IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. Essentially regulates the amount of air entering the throttle body through a piston mechanism. It's the right valve, not a cheaper aftermarket one - they won't work properly and you'll be chasing ghosts trying to diagnose the problem. Very easy to install. The engine now purrs…

It works; Medium construction.

Purchased to replace a sensor on a 2000 GMC Jimmy. I had a collapse and an occasional "ca-chunk" noise. I believe this fixed the issue, but I'll learn more later. Installation was relatively easy, I needed a #20 torx socket. A small driver is not good because of the cramped work area. What helped was that I had to buy ACDelco and not some other brand. Also visit this website to find out how and where the sensor is located. http://www.justanswer.com/chevy/1cm55-want-clean-th-idle-air-control-valv…

Original Electronics: Replacement Parts

As many have pointed out, when it comes to electronics, when it comes to a critical component or switch, OE quality is hard to beat. it fits and works flawlessly with no fuss or weird "gremlins". Typical complaints about the need to replace this part range from poor idling, stumbling, stalling, stalling under load, and variable idle speeds. It also helps with excessive idle fuel trims that increase fuel economy (which is where my problems were found) and retard ignition timing by about 6…

Fixed this tripping/stuttering.

Worked great for me with my 03 4.3. Went through several mechanics and a burned out cat already trying to figure out why my truck was tripping/stuttering up hills and off stops. New spark plugs/wires, coil, distributor parts, spider injector and last recommendation was valve springs (no to that idea). I finally got my job done with a little effort and the truck was working properly again. Installation on my model is not difficult, you just need to remove the inlet pipe. It is recommended that…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Fading

My 130,000 mile truck had intermittent problems idling or even starting smoothly, but acceleration and ride was just perfect. There were times when it worked fine and I parked in front of the store, but after 10 minutes it barely started. I have never had a CHECK ENGINE light come on, your car may not be showing a DTC either. I purchased this part, it took 30 minutes to install and the problem was solved. If your new car shows the same symptoms, this part is one of the first parts to consider…
