OEM precision replacement part. Very satisfied! I had to replace this cable because I pulled on the e-brake's plastic handle and broke the plastic bracket. Just a side note, first remove the cable from the under dash electronic brake unit. To remove the cable itself from the lower dash, reach behind the lower panel and simply twist. Quite easy.

but not terrible. I had to pry the hook where.

Installation is a little cumbersome but not bad. I had to open the hook that attaches the end of this tether to my truck and then slam it shut when I was done, but no big deal. That works great. Too bad GM didn't have a more reliable way to attach the E-Brake release handle to this cable; these things are apparently notorious for breaking (but they're cheap enough to buy a spare!).

  • Brake system
