easy installation in car and car electronics

available A factory speaker burned out and was replaced with a cheap one from an auto parts store. It was way worse than the factory. When another factory speaker stopped working (13 year old) I decided to do a simple factory speaker replacement, just plug in, tighten a screw and you're done. Much easier than after-sales problems, mounting bracket, adding cable adapters.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Cheap in car electronics

driver door speaker replaced on Chevy Cobalt 07 as turn signal click and headlight horn are transmitted through the speaker. You need to remove the door panel, which isn't too difficult. No need to detach the door bars, just leave them attached while still supporting the door panel. This stock speaker fixed the problem and sounds the same as the previous speaker. Good value for money, I would recommend.

Pros
  • Test for a year
Cons
  • Something else

Great fit for Chevy Cobalt

Essential item for my 2009 Chevy Cobalt as the front speakers were not working and the driver's side front speaker is responsible for the turn signal noise and horn. Installation wasn't too difficult, but if you have manual windows I highly recommend getting a window handle removal tool as it's very difficult to remove the crank clamp with a screwdriver. I did it, but with a lot of effort and unnecessary damage to the door panel.

  • Decent performance

Quick and easy install on 2009 Cobalt.

My 2009 Chevy Cobalt was out of turn signals and of course I couldn't hear the radio through the front driver's side speaker so I ordered it and installed it late December 2016. Installation was surprisingly painless. The door panel was fairly easy to remove and install. The whole job took no more than 30 minutes. The problem was solved, I had full sound again, as well as blinker clicks. It is now mid May 2017 and still no problems.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Nothing

Nice to have front sound back in my Cobalt

I installed these speakers in my 2007 Cobalt today and it's a relief to have my warning and turn signal sounds back. Replacing original ACDelco parts, these speakers fitted perfectly and were easy to install. The only difference I saw was that they were made in China while the originals were made in Mexico. I'm deducting a star from my rating because the music reproduction of these speakers is poor. Instruments sound weak, and more complex instrumental pieces are sometimes a lump of barely…

Fits my 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt exactly. Not recognized until recently (bought my car in 2012). 7mm socket and ratchet (or something else, which unscrews a 7mm hex screw) 5. Window handle removal tool (I used a very thin wrench from one of my Ikea furniture.) Additional tools: 1. A pair of work gloves 2. Electrical contact cleaner 3. a pair of wire cutters ( Wiring harness to speaker is easy to insert but hard to pull out, ended up using wire cutters to break the plastic bracket on the broken…

Fixes Cobalt speaker clipping issues.

First of all this speaker isn't that great so if I was trying to get a good sound I would spend money and get a better product. However, this has more to do with the lack of audio issues that were common on the Cobalt and some other cars from the same era. The window seal around the bottom of the windows doesn't quite fit to the inside of the door of my Cobat. This is a GM manufacturing defect that causes water to run down the windows and into the door panels when it rains. It happens to be…

DOA and my car stereo fried

Hooked up this little guy to my car to replace a missing passenger door speaker. Not only did it make no sound, it burned every other speaker in my car. After a few days, the speakers started making terribly loud screeching noises, like the banshee was screaming at the top of her lungs. Removed those sobs, but the damage was done. I unplugged the other speakers for a few months to let them cool down. But shortly after turning it on, they start squeaking again. I haven't traced the wires very…

Still working in my Pontiac G5 after 3 years! See my fitment tip

I bought this speaker about 3 years ago to replace my 2009 Pontiac G5 because I can no longer get sound from the driver's door speaker. The driver door speaker is also the speaker that emits the sound so you know when the car door is open or the turn signals are on. The reason the door speakers fail in the Pontiac G5 is because the weatherstrips on the outside of the door allow water and moisture to easily enter the door and reach the speaker. It was very easy to replace the standard speaker…
