Three Stars - Pulleys

Incorrect size does not suit my application as shown on your website, oversized diameter must be returned. The Amazon website for returning pulleys shows it fits my application but it's wrong to charge 5.99 for return if they show the product size instead of the box size, it wouldn't happen that much.

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Very Expensive

Why did you replace the alternator and not the tensioner?

When I replaced the alternator on my '97 Chevy truck, I also replaced this part (belt tensioner). This part isn't expensive, so it makes sense. The one I replaced ran like it had little pebbles in the bearings - obviously it wasn't going to last long. Be smart and do it.

  • Absolutely amazing!

OEM IS THE WAY TO GO

AC DELCO is the way to go. LONG-TERM SECURITY. SILENT STORAGE. on the dealer's counter. THIS AUTO SERVICE TOUR PROVED THAT YOU CAN BUY AND GET A FACTORY OEM FROM YOUR COMPUTER WITH LESS PROBLEMS, FOR LESS THAN A DEALER OR BIG BOX AUTO PARTS STORE. WAY TO BUY

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Fits Ford 3.0 Vulcan

Installed on the 04 Taurus to eliminate the creepy squeak under the hood. The old one was noticeably wobbly. It's not as good as the original part (metal seems a bit thinner) but the new one wasn't out of stock and the price seemed fair. The car is quiet now, except for the awful sound of the air conditioning compressor, which has been masked by the idler pulley, is now painfully obvious. Be careful with your wishes!

Quality counts here

Your engine sounds like an RC car engine, howls when you accelerate, is it a pulley bearing? I ordered this part to save some money and they sent me a janitor, it was in an AcDelco box. I use doorman parts sometimes but the bearing in it wasn't smooth so I immediately sent it back and bought a new ACDelco. Bearing on the ACDelco turned out to be smoother than I expected. That was great. Do yourself a favor and buy an ACDelco here. The engine began to run smoother and fuel consumption increased.

Quieter on belts, hoses and pulleys

There are many reviews here except the bearing presses unevenly into the pulley so I was concerned. Mine arrived in a sealed box with an ACDelco tag and the pulley is stamped 'Made in Canada'. I also have a bearing that seems to stick out further on one side. However, instead of sending it back, I put it on the stud and screwed it on. Despite the obviously bad fit of the bearing, the wheel rotates optically correct. In fact, there is more play when installing the bushing on the truck. As a…

Attention Acura and Honda owners!

It wasn't until I took the time and effort to remove the old tensioner assembly from my 2001 Acura TL that I realized that this part was out of specification as Revane pointed out (this part will fit your Acura 2001). TL). The pulley on the left is original and has a convex shape containing a concave washer (shown upside down in the photo to clarify the shape) and fits snugly against the bearing. The pulley on the right is a product that has a distinctly concave donut shape. The concave washer…

The pulley works great and is quiet!

My 2001 Silverado 1500 that has clocked up 221,000 miles runs great with a little care and some Revain home made parts resulting in huge cost savings! This is the main drive belt idler pulley, not the tensioner. The idler pulley on the motor has a bolt, pulley lockwasher and spacer in addition to this part of the pulley. Revain sells just the pulley and bearing shown here or the entire assembly at 3 times the price. This pulley cost about $13 and it cost about $35 to build and these are…
