If the ball joint stud was 2-5mm shorter it would be great. The end is so close to the resume that there is no room for a ratchet on it. The only tool you can use on the nut is an open-end wrench, which is thicker and requires very little turning before hitting the surrounding knuckle material. Once you've tightened the nut, the cotter pin hole is almost behind the top of the nut, allowing it to back out before the pin stops it. Other than that, it looks well designed.
