I have broken many boots trying to install, just pre install or buy the right tools, also it seems they are all made by different manufacturers not sure of the quality.

This part was great. Item arrived new in excellent condition. It was just as described. The material used makes an extremely hard-wearing impression. That's why I will never stop using ACDelco, it has never let me down.

Bought to fix a failed upper ball joint on my Chevy truck. It worked great and went in with no problems. As everyone has said, putting the boot on is a big problem, but with some ingenuity and no PVC pipe around it it can still be done without destroying the boot.

Fits great but putting on the rubber boot after assembly is crazy. It is not simply tightened, but must be pressed very carefully, otherwise the boot will tear. Had to use 1.5" Schedule 40 PVC pipe as a sleeve to press with a ball joint press.

Factory replacement ball joint, fits perfectly and looks better than branded ones. Moog would be better, but for twice the price you don't get a double ball joint. For all those reviewers who weren't able to mount the protective cover after installing it, you just need more practice or be more creative, I used the same ball joint press I used to mount the part to mount the protective cover, just pressed and just won't come on away.

This product is terrible; don't buy that. I have read reviews about the boot not fitting and how to fix it. I thought hey no problem, I'll just do the PVC pipe trick. Well it doesn't work. The metal ring in the boot hem is just old and the wrong size. Even if you make a custom boot attachment as described in other reviews (1.5 inch, size 40 PVC) the ring in the rubber lip will simply deform as you can see in my photos.
