So far, so good. - Damper, Struts and Suspension

Installed those lower ball joints and good. They didn't last long, 2 weeks to be precise. I ended up buying the entire forearm from Moog. So far, so good.

Pros
  • Handy Stuff
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

2000 Chevy Silverado

The factory parts were difficult to remove, but installation was a breeze. I highly recommend these, excellent for the price. Remember to lubricate after installation. 20 year old truck drives like new.

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Rough

I ordered it hoping I could remove my old one.

I ordered this in hopes of being able to remove my old one. The old one couldn't be removed, so the entire forearm had to be replaced. Mine was the original that was on the truck and it was ribbed.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Good but not outstanding

so far so good: ball joints

I bought a set of lower ball joints online about 3-4 years ago and the passenger side had already failed, so let's do it again. I went ahead and bought a pair in case the driver's side failed as well. I hope these last a little longer.

Pros
  • best in their niche
Cons
  • very expensive

Not worth it in my opinion - replacement parts

In my opinion the juice wasn't worth replacing the LBJ on my Silverado, wasted hours and achieved nothing. In the end the entire lower arm was replaced, it was much easier, just be careful with the coil spring. This piece appears to have been of fair or better quality.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • 0

Old ball joints don't come out well.

I recently replaced the lower ball joints on my '07 Silverado Classic and so far they are working fine BUT. Be prepared to spend LOTS of time removing the old ones. It was VERY, I repeat, VERY difficult and long. I'm not a mechanic, but I don't usually take my truck for parts, I do it myself. It was the hardest thing I've ever done on a vehicle. Get ready to drill out the center of the RIVET. The old ball joints are probably not bolted on so you have to spend more money to take them to the shop

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Quality
