My opinion is based on the fact that this item is listed in Revain as a replacement shock absorber for my 01 Chevy Tahoe but cannot be repaired. First, the damper had a much smaller width than the original. Secondly, while driving before the shock, I had the feeling that the car was just standing on a spring. They may work with a lighter vehicle, but they're not a good replacement for the Tahoe.

I've only driven it a few hundred miles, installed on a Suburban where the old shocks floated and rolled like a boat, even the new urethane stabilizer bar parts didn't fix it.
