Description of ๐Ÿ”ง Enhanced Performance ACDelco Professional 6K938 Standard V-Ribbed Serpentine Belt

Made with temperature and crack resistant EPDM rubber for a long life and quiet, dependable performance. Is the belt of choice by professional technicians, lasting 50% to 60% longer than retail belts (low priced belts sold at car part stores). Its precision dimension control of rib profile transmits load efficiently throughout the accessory belt drive systems (ABDS) allowing components to operate at optimum levels. Able to operate and accept misalignment in the accessory belt drive systems (ABDS) far greater than other serpentine belts. Its flexible construction allows the belt to withstand billions of topside and backside bends resulting in a long belt life.

OEM Fits 2003 Mercedes E320

If you are replacing the serpentine belt on your MB this is what you need. Ideal length. nice to feel That the grooves weren't as deep as some others didn't bother me that much. AC Delco has never let me down.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Made in China same price as USA

Fits well but if buying again I would look for a brand that is not made in China but is made in the USA. The costs are about the same. I just don't trust Chinese quality on such an important part based on my past experience.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Upgrades

Difference in quality - belts, hoses and pulleys

The old belt started to wear out around the edges after less than 20,000 km. Decided to try the Delco brand at $5 more than other unknowns like the ones I've bought before to save money. The material and heavier construction initially feels like a big leap in quality over the strap I replaced. Only driving will confirm this assessment, but I'd be very surprised if I didn't get a lot more life out of this belt. I will correct this review if I don't.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Update available

Inexpensive and appears to be good quality!

It's not the product but installation on a 2012 Chevy Traverse will require complete removal of the inner fender. Once the inner fender is removed, installation is fairly easy. Use a 1/2 inch ratchet to loosen the idler pulley and remove the old belt. Installation is the reverse of removal, just be sure to route belt correctly. There are many pictures on the Internet of how it should be laid if you do not remember at the time of removal.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Functionality

I can ride in the rain again!

The GMC Acadia's old belt slipped, got wet from rain and puddles, causing the power steering to cut out for a few seconds. Put this belt on and wait for the rain, same big puddles and no more belt slippage. * The GMC dealer previously replaced the power steering pump and steering rack under a recall/warranty. If you have a new pump and the recommended oil but are still having wet power steering problems, replace the belt and make sure you have fenders installed under the serrated pulleys.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
