Great replacement for a broken speedometer cable

I hung the cable up with tape on the ends on a hot day to keep dust out. This made the cable smooth, with virtually no kinks, and easy to manage. This cable replaced my two piece OG cable. I recommend using a rope attached to the OG cable when removing (this makes a fresh install much easier).

Pros
  • Packaging dimensions: 28.194H x 9.144D x 27.432W (centimeters)
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Fits 86 K20 truck as OEM since it was OEM.

My 86 K20 truck had the cruise control unit removed and a cable inserted from the NP205 transfer case to the speedometer. I attached the cable to the back of the transfer case to keep ice and snow from stressing the cable in the winter and to keep the brush from snagging in the summer. Make sure the cord will not rub on hot or sharp objects and will last a long

At first the speedo jumped a little under 10 mph but that went away. The cable was pre-lubricated, so the grease may have been too hard. The speedometer jumped to about 40 with the old cable and the car ran poorly because the VSS was receiving an intermittent signal (TCC went in and out for one), surprisingly the…
