My problem with the check engine light

I've had them for 3000 miles with no problems. They kept telling me they were cats, but after spending $800 on new cats, the lights came back on anyway. They're not that easy to replace since the 2-wire connectors are in hard-to-reach places, but the genuine GM part price is worth it.

Pros
  • has been fixed. Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

Excellent fit for Silverado 2000

These are for the post catalyst, passenger side is close to frame and body (engineering trip), use 22m spanner or spanner (UK). and bang it. No complicated removal or installation. Setting up, uninstalling and installing takes longer than the actual installation.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Crumpled

It will not connect directly to a 2002 Tahoe 5.3L Downstream

As the name suggests this is not a direct connection, I had to change the connector to make it work (wire color and pinout). it's the same, which is easy enough, but still) so it doesn't require a lot of extra steps, but it would be nice to know instead of fumbling under the truck for a bit.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Has issues

Factory replacement is the way to go.

I needed to replace the catalytic converter on my '99 Tahoe and thought I could change the O2 sensors at the same time. I went to the aftermarket with a converter (Magnaflow 23453) but have heard of a lot of bad results with non-standard oxygen sensors. So I took two of these, two from the AFS105, got the job done and years later still no problems. There are cheaper options, but save yourself the headache and buy an ACDelco just to replace the sensors.

P0430 Fault Fixed and Transmitted Emissions

I had a P0430 fault on my 2001 GMC Yukon and this fixed it. I think bank 2 is the passenger side sensor behind the catalytic converter but I made it for both driver and passenger and I also ordered a special key which is definitely needed. Be sure to watch YouTube videos and use the whistle. about the wrench technique for the lever. I was able to replace two of those oxygen sensors without even lifting the car off the ground. I just slipped under it because there is good light in the Yukon.

  • Absolute Legend

One of the two isn't bad? Both premature failures are not good at all.

I bought a pair of these in 2016 and finally found the time to install them by the recommended 100,000 mile replacement date and not due to codes or bugs. Immediately it started throwing out bank 2 codes for no activity and low voltage. Reinstalled one of the old ones, cleaned the codes and no more problems. I guess I should have installed them straight away instead of moving them, so I guess I'm out of luck because the seller replaced the faulty O2 sensor for free. Bank 1 sensor also failed…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Make sure you check engine codes regularly

I purchased 2 ACDelco AFS106 GM Heated Oxygen Sensors in October 2020. One of them failed shortly after the right of return expired. I spent over $83.00 and got an error code "No Reading on Sensor 2 Bank 2". So I swapped out the sensors on the back and used my scanner to clear the code. The code reappeared, but this time for Sensor 2 Bank 1, which is still not reading any actions. So I've come to the conclusion that the sensor has failed, and what sucks about these sensors is the lack of a…

Replacing Oxygen Sensors The most efficient repair I've ever done!

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 pickup truck with a 5.3 liter engine and 220,000 miles. I have an inexpensive Autel code reader that I also bought from Revain. When the "Service Engine" light comes on, I plug in the reader and it tells me which part needs to be replaced. My truck has four O2 sensors, two on each side, one in front of and one behind the catalytic converters. only four. The two sensors before the converter are the same, and the two sensors after the converter are the same. Last…
