ACDelco AFS74 Original Equipment Heated Review

This sensor works great. I like to use factory parts whenever possible. This is compliant. My last sensor was a different brand and only did a few thousand miles.

I bought this O2 sensor because I need some upgrades on my exhaust system, Shorty headers, JBA Y-pipe and Cat. I had a small spike before installing this package and now there is no spike. The recommendation came from the OBS forums I am a member of and this update worked beautifully. Now it's much better to drive the truck.

Used as a replacement for the single wire O2 sensor that came with my '89 Camaro IROCZ. Works much better than non-heated units and gives much better ECM readings. Helped eliminate the annoying idle spike issue that could occur when the vehicle temperature reached the set temperature and entered the closed circuit. Connect it to a switched 12V source such as the fuel pump relay so the heater will only turn on when the engine is running.

I have a 94 C1500 305 GM truck. Now I see that on his third O2 sensor they changed the design to a DENSO style O2 sensor. No complaints! When my truck ran horribly in closed loop, threw away the o2 sensor code, I figured after about 60,000 miles with the old ac delco replacement sensor it was time to replace it, which I did, fuel trim and performance with this o2 sensor is super!
