Works in 2010 G6! in the trunk

I couldn't find any information on my 2010 G6's capabilities but it worked great and was the cheapest option I could find. I had to buy the plastic frame holding the switch separately as it broke when removing the old switch.

Pros
  • GM recommended replacement part for your GM car's original factory component
Cons
  • Not the best

This switch is a perfect replacement for my 2005 LS (non classic)

The ignition key has never opened the trunk on this car. The key fob or trunk release button is the only way to get in. When the original button started requiring 3 or 4 presses to make contact, it was time for a replacement. This derailleur is a perfect replacement for my 2005 LS (not Classic). Pros
  • Offers GM quality, reliability and durability OE
Cons

Installed on a 2005 Malibu, works perfectly

I installed this on a 2005 Chev. Malibu LT when the original failed and it works fine. I was able to get by without removing the entire door panel by simply peeling off the bottom after removing the 2 plastic fasteners and 2 torx screws. It took me a while to lay on my back on the floor trying to get my hands and a tool to unlock the old switch while still holding a flashlight so I could see what I was doing. But it worked, all the work took about 20 minutes. I recommend this replacement, good…

Pros
  • Manufactured to GM OE specification for fit, form and function
Cons
  • I'll write back later
