Fragile plastic. at Fuel Pumps & Accessories

I had this in the garage waiting to be replaced and today I finally had the time to do it and the neck broke off when I was putting it in the gear unit installed. Very disappointed as I have to pull the bed. The plastic was super brittle. I wouldn't give a star but the review calls for it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes

Exactly what the mechanic ordered

I replaced the Vortec heads with my 1995 GMC Sierra and needed more throttle body pressure. I've been told to use this pump even though it's for newer models as it gives more fuel but still connects to the older unit. The pump came in easily and didn't cause me any problems. The price was $50 cheaper than the peak or pips.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Not the best

bought bosch and this and gave the mechanic a job choice went with it but will it last as long as the original? There is a fuel pump in the tank and it ONLY cost me $640 to replace! It was almost a full 75 gallon tank so a forklift had to be used to lower it to get to the top pump port. Simple, uncomplicated work. IF you have a forklift I could do it myself if the tank was empty OR that could pump all gas! ;(

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • trade in availability

No, no filter: Spare parts

After reading the review that this kit has a filter, I order it, although it has increased in price between 2 times when I looked at it. I understand that there is no filter. but it fit and worked and was a lot weaker than the old one which scared me that it didn't work but the truck started and of course it wasn't before. strange. When I researched it before buying it said it would fit my 1997 Silverado C2500 5.7L V8 petrol engine. Now they've said it can't be done. go fig it worked well and…

Pros

Cons
  • There are nuances

I installed this on my 1995 Chevrolet Suburban TBI with 160k miles which comes with a fuel pressure gauge and adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Now I actually have the correct 12-14psi at the throttle body, not just at idle. Long term fuel trim and injector duty cycle are now within normal range. My car is basically stock, with a 70 series Flowmaster and some slightly upgraded ignition components as recommended on www. tbi chips.com (Accel connector wires, plain connectors, high quality but…

Great fuel pump. for electric fuel pumps

This is a great fuel pump that puts out 60psi which means it can work with a Vortec engine. I got this for my TBI 5.7L 95 Yukon. The original pump finally bit me. and i plan on replacing the 6.0 vortec in the future and didnt want to use the older tbi pump so i got this one. truck drives great. Yes, the TBI needs about 20psi of fuel pressure to run, so it works great. Some spare parts may be usable, but the fuel pump comes with original equipment. no Airtex crap or aftermarket junk. unless you…

Had cold start problems

I put an aftermarket fuel pump on my 1993 Chevy S10 Blazer 4.3 V6 (central injection) that wouldn't start after 2 months of use, when the engine was cold after about 1/2 hour attempts it jumped finally started with acceleration and ran great on start and restarted with no problems when the engine was warm. I never thought it was the fuel pump so I started swapping out the electronic components. After replacing all electronic components, injectors, distributors, lower inlet gaskets, battery and…
