The OEM part works great.

OEM filter fits perfectly and shifts better than ever with the new Dexron VI Trans Fluid. I used the bleed pump to remove 7.2 liters from the transmission before dropping the filter pan. No mess!

Great product - replacement parts

I only use ac delco oe GM original if I can't get a part in ac delco oe original then I go to the pro. Professional is a quality part, unlike the benefits of ac delco (silver), you can't go wrong with ac delco professional (gold).

Allomatic is still made in America

Filtran moves production to China. They are still better than other Chinese ones. I needed one on short notice so got this one but going forward I will stick with Allomatic filters as they are still made in America and the quality is slightly better.

Ordered this filter for a fraction of what it was.

Ordered this filter for a fraction of what the parts dealer was charging for cheap filters. I installed this on my 2002 Pontiac Montana when I did a transmission swap. It has been at least a few months now and my transmission shifts smoothly with no problems. Would buy again if needed, overall a quality product.

I pushed and pushed and before you know it the new gasket was bending and becoming unusable. I had to buy another transmission filter

The transmission filter gasket is a cylinder approximately 1cm x 1cm x 1cm in size. It's metal covered in black plastic or rubber and I didn't realize it and that's what this PITA project did. I thought I removed the old gasket from the car completely, but I just scraped the inner plastic/rubber off the old one. Pads So of course I couldn't install a new gasket. I pushed and pushed and before you know it the new gasket was bending and becoming unusable. I had to buy another transmission filter…
