    E- simply good: computers and accessories

    Update from 03/29/20 has to change my rating from 3-1 stars. Without freezing and 10 minutes will not pass. Not worth what we paid for it. So this computer tends to crash and needs to be restarted. It was cheap so I think you get what you paid for. It's probably worth the wait and buy a little more expensive at a local store.

    Lasted 3 months

    Bought for my mum as a gift for Mother's Day. Went to black screen after 3 months and no amount of troubleshooting helped. Support couldn't help. It was later revealed that her sister had the same model which had taken 5 months and was told she could send it back for repair but it had no warranty, no shipping cost and no $50 inspection fee. After being told that improper packaging would incur repair costs, there was no way Acer would take responsibility. I realize it wasn't a high-end model…

    Chromebook only supports its operating system for 5 years. Many Chromebooks on sale have less than 5 years of support (updates). Before purchasing, please check the model number to know the end of support. The first one I bought had expired support (zero).

    Unusable electronics

    I've owned it since August. In less than 7 months it is completely useless. I have a "Reinstall Chrome OS" error code that started intermittently. Downloaded operating system, reinstalled. But the error code now appears every time the laptop is used and it crashes during use. I have contacted the seller and he is no longer responding. Buyer Warning. Now I have to buy another Chromebook. I will not buy Acer or anything from this company again.

    Happy with my Acer Chromebook

    This is my first Chromebook. I use several Google apps so the transition wasn't very difficult. It's definitely faster/faster than my old HP Windows laptop. It took a little while to figure out where my files might end up (Google Drive or hard drive), but since most things are cloud-based these days, everything works great.
