Description of Acer SP111 33 Laptop Windows Renewed
- Remarkable image quality, 64GB of internal memory allow Win10 and applications to work normally, an external memory card is completely hidden in the slot and allows you to easily increase the amount of internal memory (before that there was Asus T100TA 32GB - there the card stuck out of the case and easily jumped out from accidental clicks). The battery life is certainly less than in the video reviews, but very decent. about 5-6 hours of video at medium brightness (after half a year of use). Reliable power plug. Charges quickly. Good sound, more or less comfortable keyboard. It is very convenient to use the touchscreen both in tablet mode and with the keyboard (it was . until the touchscreen cracked).
- Inconvenient case - it is inconvenient to open, there is simply nothing to catch on with your fingers. The sharp edge of the case rubs the wrist when working with the keyboard. Quite heavy and at the same time slippery - easy to drop. For half a year, the loops loosened up, the screen sways a little. Mediocre touchpad - often does not feel weak (and not very) touches. The most unpleasant thing is a very delicate touchscreen. After 1.5 months of use, it cracked diagonally from the upper left corner (did not drop it, perhaps something fell under the screen when closing). As a result, the floor of the screen does not respond to touch and I use it as a normal laptop. The service center wants 16 thousand for a replacement (the touchscreen comes as a common module along with the screen, only the original). In general, the touchscreen gl is very thin and delicate, and when it falls on the edge, it will definitely burst, even if the protective film is pasted. The volume and power ons are closely spaced - you constantly have to for the right one.
- I recently bought the following modification of Acer Spin 1 SP111-33-C4PH black. It is all made of plastic (this is not about dignity, but about the model). So I understand that on this model from the previous Acer Spin 1 SP111-32N (more beautiful and metallic), they took into account the fact that the lid now has a visor for ease of opening and the edges of the lower case are not so sharp (as some users noted earlier, they rub their wrists on sharp the edges). Because of this, the laptop began to look thick and "boring", but more "standard" (functional). 1. The screen is good - large viewing angles, rich colors. Although the screen is not Full HD, the image is very clear. And from a distance on such a small screen when used as a laptop, differences in resolution are imperceptible. 2. Due to pive cooling, the laptop does not make any noise at all. No fans, noisy hard drives. 3. For me, the power of the Celeron N4000 processor is more than enough, since I chose this laptop specifically for working on Word, using the Internet, listening to music and watching movies when traveling and carrying it with me wherever possible. 4. So far, I'm writing in the "Dignity" field, but to be honest, I don't know how much this device actually holds a charge. Although the nameplate says that it’s over 10 hours, but I’m constantly set to the power consumption configuration for “Balanced” - this is with 35-40% screen illumination and it comes out about 6 hours, and this is when listening to music together with active surfing on the Internet, with video views. The main advantage of the battery is that the device charges very quickly, in about 1h30. As long as it's enough for me. 5. The HDMI port has a full size, which is very good when connecting to different monitors and TVs, no need to look for a special cord with you. 6. I am completely satisfied with the size as a relatively mobile device. 7. If you want a laptop, you can use it as a tablet (after all, a transformer). 8. The embly is of high quality, nothing creaks or plays anywhere. 9. Really smart for such a device.
- 1. A soiled screen, oddly enough, is also a soiled plastic case - fingerprints remain. 2. The entire keyboard area bends when typing, which is unpleasant at first. I wonder why they made such thin plastic? 3. The power and charge indicators are located on different sides of the laptop. Go nuts . It was possible to place them in front or on the upper part of the case together. 4. The power on is also on the side, which is very inconvenient. I turned off the laptop several times when I wanted to move it to the side and hit the on. I had to configure it in Windows so that the on does not turn off the computer, you have to use Alt + F4 or "Shut down". Fuck again. 5. By default, the F1-F12 function ons on this laptop only work when paired with the Fn on, which is also very inconvenient. It's good that in the BIOS you can reconfigure and "return" to the standard ones. 6. The laptop's speakers are quite quiet, also flat when playing music and movies. 7. The camera has a very low resolution. 8. The keyboard is full-sized, but not very responsive and you have to press quite hard. There are sometimes gaps when printing fast. 9. Honestly, with such dimensions, I thought that the laptop would weigh lighter. Although they write that it gains weight due to the “fat” battery, but in terms of characteristics, the capacity of this battery is not impressive - 4670 mA per hour. Even more productive laptops from other companies weigh relatively less, while having more batteries of about 6000 or more. 10. Only two USB connectors. 11. As others have pointed out, you can't expand RAM and hard - there are no expansion slots.
- Robust all-metal body that retained its appearance despite the fact that the laptop was carried without a bag. The hinges haven't come loose yet. However, the small screws holding the bottom cover loosened on their own, and one fell out and got lost, this is disturbing. The keyboard does not flex when typing, as in other laptops in this price category, I personally find it convenient that actions are assigned to the F keys by default, such as volume up and down. The display is good - no PWM, with large viewing angles. The sound is loud and clear enough to watch videos. Large touchpad, which is convenient to use multi-touch gestures. Plays 4k video at 1.5x without any problems. It pulls old games - like Left4Dead2, which covers my gaming needs if I want to play something on the road on such a tiny device. Absolutely silent, does not heat up at any load above 50-60 degrees. Along with the laptop comes a bonus 100 GB of storage in Dropbox for a year - a trifle, but nice.
- A slow processor, when buying this laptop, you should prepare for the uneven operation of the interface, for the fact that it will constantly think, slow down, open applications with a delay, leisurely load tabs in Chrome. Despite the rigidity of the lid, the screen managed to squeeze through in two places, in which there were visible light on a white background. The touchpad, despite its good work with multi-touch, can incorrectly process normal touches using the left physical button and lag / freeze - after all, dedicated buttons in Windows are more convenient. After waking up from sleep mode, it takes a long time to connect to wifi. Vkusovschina - annoying shiny Acer logo under the screen. The screen is glossy, and together with not the highest maximum brightness, this makes it not very convenient to use it in sunny weather. The battery has lost up to 80% of its original capacity in a year, and the autonomy is not even close to the declared one, in the mode of active use of heavy applications with normal brightness and an Internet connection, you should not count on 8, but on 3-4 hours, which is not surprising, given that battery capacity is less than in most modern smartphones. If you want to change the battery, a new original one costs about 2500r. The bundled stylus gives the impression of being less sensitive than advertised, but it's fine for quick sketching. There are magnets on the laptop case to fix the stylus, but they are not very strong, and the stylus constantly strives to break off them without permission. When you connect / disconnect the charger, the laptop emits a nasty loud squeak that cannot be turned off in the settings. There is no fingerprint scanner, if you set the unlock by pin, the laptop does not immediately show the keyboard when you exit sleep mode in tablet mode, which is inconvenient, but is solved by unlocking by picture. There is no USB-type C, and charging via it, which is inconvenient, you have to carry the original charger with your laptop (quite, however, compact). Heavier than it looks.
