This whistle is small, only about 2 inches long, lightweight and sturdy. Ideal for use with a lanyard that attaches through an end ring. The noise it makes can be heard by humans but is not annoying. Dogs can definitely hear it, and it's unique enough to stand out from other sounds. We use it as an emergency call for our dog and reward him with a very valuable treat when he answers.
