It did the job

The 4 inch hole saw itself worked fine as the vent is only 1.2 inch thick. I started using a Crafsman cordless drill but it got stuck so I tried a Makita punch and it sheared off both pins in the shaft. Then I used a Milwaukee side grip drill bit and the job was done.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs

A good product. Some considerations for using

I bought this primarily to cut aluminum sheet metal. The teeth are sharp and well cut. The curve looks very realistic. My only concern is that the weld bead will be raised a little closer to the "dome" of the saw body. If the body were to fully penetrate my workpiece, the weld mentioned above would affect the quality of the hole. It was manageable, but it has to be taken into account, especially with deep cuts.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Did the best job of power tools and hand tools

The hole saw arrived on time and allowed me to finish the job of cutting 4 easy holes in the new drop panel ceiling. The panels were thicker and harder than standard ceiling panels (not as hard as thick drywall, but close). The hole saw cut 4 very clean holes. saw assembly. Attach one of the three included drill bits to the main body using the included hex wrench. Good thing there are 3 drills in the kit. Then screw the hole saw to the bit holder (main body). When the hole saw is almost fully…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
