Cloudy water

Totally dissatisfied with this product. I ordered 3 bags for my 3 gallon aquarium which provided good coverage. Unfortunately 2 full days have passed and the water is still very cloudy. My Betta is quite unhappy and so am I. It looks like fine gravel, not sand as expected. Any tips to make it better because I'm very disappointed and it's very expensive for a product that doesn't seem to settle down?

Pros
  • Creates a completely natural environment
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Beautiful and accessible.

Good price and good because you need at least 2 bags for even the smallest Betta aquarium. I bought 2 bags for my installed 2.5 gallon tank and 5 for my new 5 gallon tank and I think it needs 2 more. The package says no flushing is required but the water gets cloudy , so I ran my 2.5 gallons overnight after a full soak for change. My fight friend was in shock though, so in the future I may let him run for a week or even a full cycle before introducing my fish friend again. Some particles float…

Pros
  • Contains essential strontium, potassium and magnesium
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Nice looking sand

Nice looking sand but 2 bags are definitely not enough for our 3 gallon tank, I would suggest at least 3 or 4 for this tank. I'm not sure how good sand is for putting fish in a new aquarium. Somewhat unexpectedly a rooster fell on us, he had a 1 gallon bowl, our house wasn't warm enough to keep the water warm enough for him so we had to quickly move him to a larger pool with heater as he was in our lethargic became cold house about 3 days later, not sure if it really is "current cycling" but…

Pros
  • Silica and phosphate free
Cons
  • Big and bulky
