Great for stainless steel

I've bought a lot of bits that claim they can cut stainless steel but do nothing but get hot and dull. Glad to get one that cuts CC like butter! It's also a very clean cut. Works perfectly!

Pros
  • Full CNC grinding for longer life and lower drilling costs
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works well.: Metalworking and general purpose drill bit

I use step drills quite often and this one doesn't seem any worse than anything else I've used . So far I've only drilled holes in the bottom of plastic pots with this tool, but the holes were clean and almost effortless. For those who haven't used a step drill before, if you know what size hole you want to make, use vernier calipers to measure the steps and then wrap a small piece of masking tape around the next larger step so you can easily tell when you need to stop drilling. It is a sharp…

Cons
  • Damaged

Material could not be loaded. I work a lot with solar energy. I need to install switches and gauges on plastic battery boxes and wooden control panels. I like round switches (rather than rectangular ones) because they're the easiest to install with a tool like this step drill. It easily drills perfectly round holes (see video). This is a high quality drill. The incisors are sharp like a knife. It rotates perfectly on its axis, does not tumble. It cuts holes with virtually no breaks, which is…
