After trying this tool, I could not have been more disappointed. The readings were inaccurate and the device itself didn't last long. It was a complete waste of money for a diagnostic tool.

This cable must be supplied. I don't know why it doesn't work. Although it is possible to connect the scanner with the supplied cable, reading it is often quite cumbersome due to the end position that the user has to take to read the screen. This extension cord allows the user to be in a much more comfortable position inside or outside the vehicle when using the scanner. If you use your scanner a lot, I highly recommend using this cable extension.

When I bought the original unit it should have come with this extension but it didn't. At the time I didn't care. After a few uses and a connection point (usually under the dash) I decided to buy it. Without the cable, the wire is only 12 inches long and is usually too limited for your professional task. I was surprised I could get an OEM and it works great. Done better than I thought.
