Best OEM filter price

2009 Acura MDX replacement that was easy to install and at the best price. Oil leaks are stopped by depressurizing an old clogged valve.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Very expensive

Don't lose your collar

Installation is very easy. However, be careful not to lose the collar during installation. Also, be extra careful when removing the old part as it can break very easily. This is the same part you get from the dealer.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Good but not great

Acura Oil Consumption Problem

Locating this part behind the front wiring harness, press the two gray plastic tabs and gently pull the wire forward and a 10mm screw was removed and the block pulled out to replace. Precise fit and easy installation. Fast delivery.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Elderly Doubtful Purchase

Oil consumption, PCV valve clogged

I was wondering why my 2011 Acura MDX (65,000 miles) recently burned a ton of oil. A couple of online sources pointed to a dirty/clogged PCV valve. Pretty easy installation, 5 minutes with just a 10mm extension and a small socket. I'll post an update in hopes that this fixes the issue.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Needs an outlet

Works great, but be careful.

This isn't the first time I've installed these, but the damn tip (the original, not a replacement) broke off for the first time. Poor design, you have to twist it a bit when you pull it out so it doesn't tear. I had to insert a rooster to grab it from the hold and then use a couple of vises to pull it out. Good times!

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • I won't say anything
