Description of ๐ŸŒŸ Adafruit 1947 Capacitive Touch Shield, 2.8-inch TFT Display for Arduino with Touch Sensing Capabilities

2.8 inch; FT2606 touch screen controller; High speed SPI display with digital I2C touchscreen driver; Single-touch capacitive touch bonded on top; 4 white led backlight. 240x320 resolution, 18-bit GPU, 262, 000 color - our library uses 16 bit color mode. Ili9341 (data sheet) controller with built in video ram buffer. We also have a touch screen library that detects x, Y and Z (pressure) and example Code to demonstrate all of it. The Code is written for arduino but can be easily ported to your favorite controller. Works with any classic arduino '328. Solder closed three jumpers to use the icsp header for use with leonardo or Mega! 2.8" diagonal color touchscreen TFT. Touchscreen controller requires I2C pins sda and Sca. Microsd pin requires digital #4; That means you can use digital pins 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and analog 0-5. Pin 4 is available If not using the MicroSD

Excellent, just as advertised, arrived on time. Just remember to load the right libraries from [.] and read the settings to make sure everything is working properly.

Adafruit Large Screen

This screen works and looks good. The resolution is perfect for my needs and the colors are good too. I used this on a touchscreen reflow oven I built and it works great.

Met my expectations

Pros:- easy setup- good hw quality- good examples- backlight can be controlled via code Cons:- cannot be used without spi (8-bit mode)- spi is not as fast as 8-bit mode - Capacitive mode doesn't have as many code samples as resistive, but can be easily converted.
