Only 3ft field of view, not enough for an entire room

This does exactly what it's supposed to do. But its field of view is only 3 feet. I wanted to see the whole room, which I can't do with this device. No complaints about this device, just be aware of its limitations. If you can work with a 3ft field of view then this is a great chip/camera. If you need more then look elsewhere.

    Pros
    • A configurable break contact that can be triggered when a single pixel goes above or below a threshold you set
    Cons
    • sad packaging

It's not just about the product, it's also about who makes it. Great design.

Adafruit has a great website that is perfect for this type of product. By simply using their application notes and guides, I was able to install and test this on my Raspberry in under an hour. In addition to the great instructions on their website, I was particularly concerned about how this board would be installed. They even provided four holes for symmetrical mounting while also providing a matching set of through holes that will accept a second plug just to allow for stable mounting in a…
