Faster iMac memory: Memory

I bought this to add to the existing memory in my late 2015 27" Retina iMac. The two 8GB DIMMs were well packaged and very easy to install .Following the instructions I removed the existing DIMMs and put these new ones in their place then reinstalled the old ones in the remaining slots.I shut down my computer, reconnected the power cord and other cables, turned it on and was back in the shop inside a minute or two of computer response time - a subjective thing and difficult to quantify, but I…

Now I can run all my programs all the time and noticeably faster :)

Works great in my iMac (Retina 5K 27" Late 2015) Intel Core i7 4GHz. I added this to the 16 gigabytes I had at the Apple factory. So now I have 32GB of RAM. I've been using this RAM for over a month now with no problems. Now I can open all the necessary programs and it's noticeably faster. *(I run LOTS of programs all the time and I'm definitely a power user. I use Linux VMware all the time, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, lots of Chrome windows/tabs (and I mean lots), email clients and more. Now I…

Works with no problems

I've been looking for memory for my iMac for a long time. I have a late 2015 model and have tried other options. I went to Best Buy and bought a memory that said it was compatible but it wasn't and then I saw several options on Revain and wasn't sure which to choose. I saw Corsair and wanted to pick it as I was familiar with the brand, but this one was cheaper and a risk. It was very easy to install and my Mac recognized it immediately. In terms of performance, my Mac feels 10x faster and…

120 seconds. That was all it took to disable.

120 seconds. That was all it took me to remove the cables from the back of my iMac, lay it face down on a towel, open the RAM cover, put in two additional RAM modules, put everything back together, the Turn on power and check if the extra RAM was detected. It couldn't be easier, and my car definitely feels a little springier. But what really stands out is working with Photoshop and Lightroom open, as well as working with multiple open files and extensive editing operations. I don't know why I…

Memory defective after 2 years. *Update*

I bought this for my late 2015 iMac 27in 5k in 2018 to upgrade from 8GB to 24GB. This memory failed after 2 years. My iMac started beeping 3 times. After removing this memory it worked again. I went back to my original 8GB. *Update* Adamanta got in touch and agreed to replace the memory chip. I sent them the defective memory and they sent me a replacement. I upgraded them from 1 to 4 stars for excellent customer service.

Bad internals

I made sure I bought the right memory. I have verified that this is correct according to Apple and the website. I upgraded from 2 x 4 megabytes to 4 x 8 megabytes (from 8 megabytes to 32 megabytes). After installation, I had to restart my computer twice before it would boot up. The computer worked fine for a while (about two months) before it started shutting down constantly. I put the original 8 megabytes back in and the computer worked fine. So I came to the conclusion that it was a memory. I

Install BANK or DIMM? Not sure.

The only thing that confuses when installing this memory is which of the slots to install pairs in. Instructions for installing memory banks are included with the memory. If you open an Apple iMac you will see DIMMs in slots 1 and 3. Based on the customer pictures uploaded to Revain it seems most people add their new DIMMs in slots 2 and 4. The included instructions memory call for installing genuine Apple memory in slot 1 and slot 2 and new memory in slot 3 and 4. In this configuration, BANK0…
