You get what you pay for.

It's cheap but you get what you pay for. I have three of these (5 purchased) running and connected to an Intel NUC (NUC5i5RYH), they seem to run fine for a day or so and then die. One of the adapters only works with HDMI and DVI but DSUB is completely dead. (3 different new monitors tested) the other device is just completely dead, all ports (2 different NUCs were tried as well as MSI GT72-2QE gaming laptop) Me don't have time or patience to return/replace the failed units. So I only eat $15 a…

Pros
  • ►Portable and low profile Mini DisplayPort connector with molded strain relief for improved reliability. Ergonomic protectors with a comfortable grip make it easy to connect and disconnect.
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Mini DP connected to my Surface Pro works great. It is always best to connect HDMI whenever possible as it also handles audio. Otherwise, audio connects to a standard mini jack. I always carry it with me. It's hanging around in my tech bag so I had to fiddle around a bit. Still works after a year.

Pros
  • ►Mini DisplayPort source on HDMI/DVI/VGA display, only one port works at a time, priority is DVI > HDMI > VGA.
Cons
  • Skimpy Instruction

Good functionality but short lifespan

This is a good product in terms of functionality. But the wire is not durable, this is my third. The first two broke after 6 months of use. But it's still a good product for the price and functionality.

Pros
  • ►Mini DP connector supports DP v1.2, which is designed for 1.62Gbps, 2.7Gbps, 5.4Gbps connection speeds; HDMI port supports v1.4 and audio output, supports 2K@60Hz, 4K@30Hz, 1080P@60Hz, 720P; DVI port supports v1.0 and resolution 1080P@60Hz, 720P; The VGA connector supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 as well as 1920 x 1080, 1024 x 768.

  • So far, so good

I have a DELL IN2020MB display with a HD resolution of 1600x900. I already have a genuine Apple VGA adapter with a Thunderbolt connector that works great with my MacBook Pro. I can get the full 1600x900 resolution on my Dell display. I thought I would buy a second VGA adapter for home so I bought this 3 in 1 adapter. When I use the VGA port with the same cable and DELL IN2020MB display, the first time I connect I only get VGA -Resolution. After switching back and forth between my original Apple
