I just received this product today and it immediately started charging my Dell laptop battery. The battery is now fully charged. I broke a pin in my laptop cable and ordered this as a replacement because the actual Dell part was $60. This isn't as heavy or as high quality as the Dell cable, but it seems to get the job done. If there are any problems in the future I will update my review.

I bought not 1 but 2 (November 18th/January 19th) of these power supplies and was delighted, it worked well with my Dell Inspirion 11 laptop. To this day couldn't be happier. Both seem to have worn out (the system now detects enough current). I feel cheated but then again I think they were bought through Revain and I hope that when someone buys one of these it doesn't end up being as bad as mine. I will try another brand.

This adapter has the correct end for the XPS 18 and was properly packaged but my tablet did not recognize the power source and therefore did not charge the battery. In addition, the tablet began to turn off spontaneously. I purchased this adapter after my spouse broke the end of another replacement power adapter that I had previously used successfully. I returned this product and purchased a Dell branded power supply instead.

Works much better than the original brand adapter which has had defects since purchase. I had concerns as it wasn't labeled as a laptop, but it works great and solves a few issues including not charging and the laptop recognizing a valid adapter. This charges my laptop in no time and is immediately recognized by the laptop. The price was much better than the inferior original adapter.

Description is misleading. The power adapter looks identical to the Dell adapter but is not compatible with it if you want the battery to stay charged. I almost replaced the battery thinking it was bad. After $75 in PC diagnostics, overheating, "bad battery" or rainbow screen and beep was caused by THIS adapter.
