Transfers are slower than they claim but ports are good.

"Bought a month ago" I may have misplaced the cable or something, but this thing has the slowest transfer of any of my devices. It's capped at 35MB/s on an SD card, so the nominal 5GB is wrong. It gives me extra USB-C ports, I don't hate it but I can't use it for transfer. For this reason I give 2 stars. I needed this for USB-C transfer speeds, now I have a slick dongle that hardly gets used.

Pros
  • USB Gen 2 10Gb/s Hub
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Great little USB3 hub: Hubs

Perfect little USB3 hub for my use. I just needed something for SD and microSD cards in and out of the laptop. It does its job in a tiny package that's beautiful and portable. Its aluminum case is a good hit, I can throw it in my bag and not worry about it being damaged.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Annoyed

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Some issues

The big problem with these things is that they don't move. I attached mine to the leg of an old Mac Pro with three zip ties and connected it to a Gen 3.1 or 3.2 card (I forgot which). The problem seems to be in the wiring. The ports are too close together and my ties get in the way. I can take it apart and rivet it to my Mac Pro front leg. It serves its purpose of placing ports in a more accessible location. I just want you not to fall. I don't need two hands to connect something.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
