Now that I'm an experienced knitter with some speed, I find that I can work much faster with turbos. The yarn glides faster and with less drag than my old favorite bamboo needles. In addition, the connection of the needle to the cable is so smooth that you hardly notice it. I'm slowly transitioning to turbo needles as they're easier on my knuckles. I love her!

Favorite needles. I've tried spare needle sets but I like to use lace and thin yarns and they work better. There's nothing more frustrating than knitting with thread and needles that get caught at the splice (where the cord meets the metal) or just aren't sharp enough. These needles swing. I use pointy needles and rocket socks and love them both.

I usually use spare circular needles when I knit (I prefer Signature Needle Arts and Addis long point tips). They are more economical and space-saving than buying stationary circular discs of any length and size. For this project I needed larger needles which are not included in any of my kits.
