Long-Lasting Sticky Adhesive Replacement: VHB 3M Dots Double-Sided Pad Solution Review

I bought these to replace the glue used to attach the dash cam. The mount has a disc of exactly the same size but with a small protrusion around it. When I bought them I didn't realize how thin they are. I wish they had shown a photo from the side or at least put the thickness in the description. Anyway, I fitted four of them to get over the <1mm protrusion of the mount and they work fine.

I ordered this for my pop socket in case the pop socket doesn't stay on the back of my phone case. The material of my phone case is slightly matte and non-slip, so I was concerned that the pop socket adhesive might not stick to the case. Much luck! My pop socket works fine on the back of my phone case so I don't need them but unfortunately THEY ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. So I stayed with them. I bought them to replace my old dashcam stickers. I personally contacted the seller of the dash cam and he sent me a link to these adhesives which don't work at all. They won't keep my DVR in this California heat. I now remember that the original adhesives that came with the dash cam, identical to these, didn't work so I bought heavy duty double sided tape from the freight port and it worked 10x better. In any case, I don't recommend them for sticking DVRs.

So far so good with protecting my Vantrue X1 DVR which doesn't stay connected for more than a week or two. The "dot" adhesive circle is smaller than the attachment's suction cup, but thick enough to fill the suction cup cavity and create a secure attachment, but summer isn't here yet, which will be a real test. I bought these after looking for a replacement adhesive for my pop sockets. I already have too many and the one I used couldn't stay attached to my phone case because I removed it from another case. Long story short, I took it off badly so the original glue was wrinkled and didn't stick. I figured I'd rather spend $5 on them than $10 on another pop socket. It's been at least a month and we're still going strong. Not sure how the integrity of the adhesive will be if I try to remove it to replace
