    Fits on my survey tripod

    Fits on my survey tripod and rotates smoothly with desired resistance. Provides a sturdy, cushioned swivel mount for cameras, levels, rangefinders or telescopes with 1/4" threaded holes. The 1/4 20 bolt is quite long so one of my levels is not secure. Problem solved by installing a 1" 1 /4 washer spacer Use a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter to mount tools with a 3/8 threaded hole and a 1/4 to 5/8 adapter for tools with 5/8 mounting holes Both are on Revain available.

    The top half rotates independently of the bottom half.

    This is the best 5/8-11 to 1/4-20 adapter on the market. The base (5/8-11) is firmly connected to the tripod and the upper half (1/4-20) can be rotated freely. It can also be locked with three set screws. My laser head only had a 1/4-20 female thread while the Transit tripod had a 5/8-11 male thread. hairpin. This adapter makes this combination perfect.     Poorly made, loose propeller

    The product consists of two parts that rotate freely, allowing you to adjust the azimuth. Two washers are attached with 3 screws. However, one of those three screws was not properly screwed into the part I received. As a result, the screw will not hold tight. This gives the two parts some "play" so that the weight (the binoculars in my case) isn't held rigidly on the tripod, making it virtually useless. It keeps changing during use. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to test it properly before

    Essential Astrophotography Gear

    I recently purchased a survey tripod for use with astrophotography gear; However, the mounting screw on the tripod uses a 5/8 inch screw. My equatorial wedge requires a 3/8" or 1/4" tripod screw, so I needed something to attach the wedge to the tripod. and that was it.     Thread Conforming Heavy Duty Adapter

    In addition to the obvious thread conformance, this adapter rotates. The base part is firmly connected to the tripod base, the upper part is rotatable. In my application this is a great feature as the top section is attached to a vertical antenna with five wires going out. I can rotate the rotating section of the adapter to attach the antenna with wires without having to rotate the entire antenna assembly.
