Worked for 10 months then ripped

10 months and the base broke. Didn't hit, didn't fall and didn't knock. The light went on and the bulb fell at an angle. I'm glad I was there and saved the lightbulb and my tank!

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Terrible quality at Fish & Aquatic Pets

I have ordered 3 for my 40 gallon aquarium. The screws weren't long enough to attach the flex neck to the base 2/3 and I tried taping them to hold them in place but to no avail and honestly it's not much either pleasing to the eye. Don't even waste your time buying this.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Fragile

Great for catching fish and aquatic creatures

I have three of these picks holding light over a saltwater aquarium. My tank has a rim and the clamps work fine. My only issue is that they lean forward slightly even when fully tightened. But that doesn't really matter, because the gooseneck is very flexible and I can position the light exactly where I want it!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Doesn't quite fit my project

I need to attach a lightweight clip to a rounded hard plastic corner. It's not ideal for that. I wish the clamp teeth were an inch lower so they would fit my project a little better. At the moment I have to test it with a heavy par 38 pear. I have to make sure it's stable enough to hold the weight securely.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Dangerous scam

This product is a complete scam and very dangerous. Like all other screw terminal table lights, it is designed to be mounted on the horizontal edge of a table, not the vertical edge of a tank. like they want to sell. It uses machine screw threads to connect the lever to the base, which of course only works if BOTH sides have metal machine screw threads. These metal threads are on the side you would use if you were using it as a table. Light but to make it "aquarium light" they just drilled aโ€ฆ

  • Elegant design

  • Not everything fits

This is the one to buy, not the one with acrylic clip and metal screw

Used as a refugium lamp for my 125g aquarium. Bigger than I thought but still perfect for my application. I would say it's too big for nano aquariums (Marine Color also sells a pole clamp which is less obtrusive and therefore better suited for nano aquariums). Very robust with excellent processing quality. It is worth noting that the clamp screw is made of plastic and will not rust, unlike the acrylic clamp and metal screw. Also, the screw appears to be made of high-density plastic, meaning the

Produces excellent aquarium light.

It works great in a 40 gallon aquarium as it is nice, big and larger than expected. The various large black adjustment screws give it a chunky feel, giving it a modern industrial feel. This isn't a full gooseneck, as there's a separate, chunky-looking bulb arm (about 6 inches) that holds the bulb socket, as opposed to the socket that attaches directly to the end of the nearly 13-inch long flexible gooseneck, don't count those Height that gives the clamp. This allows you to tilt the light intoโ€ฆ
