This product is terrible. It clicked 2 minutes after I hung my 12pds mirror. It also only adjusts in one direction, so measure carefully or be doomed to using a different cable.

It clicked before I could hang it on the wall. I'm so thankful I didn't tape it to the wall because otherwise I'd have a broken mirror all over the place. The plastic around the wire appears to have cracked, allowing the wire to slip through and fall out. Do not take any risks.

Not reliable. The wire came loose from the roll as soon as the picture (only relatively light, i.e. not overweight) was placed on the wall. Luckily the painting didn't break when it fell. Then it was impossible to pull the wire back through the sprocket. No instructions were given. I would not recommend or trust this product.

I saw some bad reviews on this product in another listing. I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. There are no instructions in the kit, I figured it out myself by playing around with it for a minute. You unscrew the base where the cable goes in, then slide the cable through to adjust the length, then tighten the base and pull what secures it. The first photo shows the base slightly unscrewed/loosened. In the second photo it fits snugly (flush with the body). The quality looks very good.
