Not stable best in my review

It was ok except for the movement once on. I used this on a healing ankle and the first day it slowly moves when on. This was not a good thing for something that was already painful. I immediately returned it.

Pros
  • Provides stability to the ankle joint
Cons
  • It might not be comfortable to wear for extended periods of time

Helps with stability of ankle.

I purchased a right side with the cooling pack. I wanted to purchase the fabric version but it was sold out. It works great and had helped keep my ankle stable as it heals from a 3-sprain. My only thing is that the cooling pack does create moisture of not wearing socks which becomes annoying.

Pros
  • Comfortable fit thanks to the rigid design
Cons
  • The brace might be too tight or restrictive for some customers

Uncomfortable - my new review

The straps were not secured enough to stay in place ( kept slipping down) and I couldn’t find extra wide shoes to fit brace in. Super uncomfortable in just plain wide shoes ( has to probably be xx-wide or xxx-wide shoes

Pros
  • HIGH QUALITY ANKLE PADS
Cons
  • The brace might not be effective for chronic conditions

I was so happy to find this Stirrup Ankle Support Brace. My son "borrowed" my similar ACE brace that kept me going until I had ankle ligament repair surgery back in 2000, but never returned it nor could he find it again after moving. My original brace came with gel cold pack inserts I could swap out for the cushion inserts after PT or when I suffer occasional acute injury to my left ankle. ACE no longer makes the product. I was delighted to discover I can use the cold packs with this…

Pros
  • Designed with gel pads to provide extra cushioning
Cons
  • It might not be as lightweight as other ankle braces on the market

My go-to ankle splint for recovery period

Of all the orthotics designed to get me back on my feet this has gotten me through 4+ weeks of recovery so far with another 2 before I start rehab. It’s not expensive but it fits anatomically to keep the ankle together while allowing for dorsiflexion/plantarflexion to keep the joint from getting stiff while restricting inversion/eversion so the ankle can heal properly. It is comfortable enough to sleep in. NOT for weight bearing.

Pros
  • 10.5 x 4 x 2.6 inches; 10.41 Ounces
Cons
  • It might not provide sufficient support for high-impact sports

Acceptable, but for my opinion

Both of the hook & loop straps fell off on the first day. The plastic rivets that hold them on simply fell out of the holes they were in. Also, I wish I had had a choice between the gel version and the pad version. With the gel version , the gel simply moves away from pressure points and relocates to places where there is no pressure. A pad would not have done this, therefore would have been significantly more comfortable. at the pressure points. Not particularly pleased at all, but it worked…

Pros
  • Leg & Foot Supports
Cons
  • It might take time to adjust to wearing the brace
