Good quality; Good weight and adjustable.

They're great - just the thing to keep the cake base from burning. They are a good weight and being adjustable is a HUGE plus. I kept one for myself and shared the rest with my neighbors😃 . Highly recommended.

Great.: Kitchen & Dining

This is such a great value, I got 2 for my mum and 2 for myself to protect the cake. This wraps around each pie plate, I take it off about 10-15 minutes before my quiche is ready to come out of the oven and it's just perfect. Highly recommended.

Do Your Job: Cake, Tart & Pudding Pans

They worked great. I made 47 Thanksgiving cakes and they helped keep the crust from getting too brown. However, if it gets dirty, it's baked in silicone and won't come off. My cherry tarts were so swollen that the filling hit the shield, turned black and got stuck inside. I've tried soaking them, cleaning them to no avail, they look dirty but aren't, they still work.

Caught fire in the oven

I used these on cakes in the oven according to the instructions, one of them broke the latch and cooled to the bottom of the oven and landed on part of the hot light and caught fire. Luckily we were in the kitchen baking and someone saw them and we pulled them out of the oven in time but they were full of fire and very scary. I kicked them all out!
