Type of review

This is my first time writing a review but I can't help but say how good this pen is. Works perfectly with my NotePlus app, Notability and Word which I use every day in nursing school to take notes. I have a brand new Apple Pencil for the 3rd generation iPad Pro, but compared to Adonit's Note, it works and performs exactly the same functions as the Apple Pencil, which costs $80 more. In summary, the Adonit looks more stylish than the Apple Pencil and costs a lot less. Best option and battery…

UPDATE on my purchase: Extremely easy to use + palm recognition pen

July 2020: Having used this pen every day for the last 10 months I would say I only buy from you. My guess is that the nib just doesn't write very well on my iPad with my constant use and costs $15 for 3 replacement nibs that will probably all eventually stop working. So I suggest you just bite the bullet and get yourself a guaranteed Apple pen. September 2019: An extremely easy to use pen that is well worth the price. I'm planning on getting a newer iPad (than the 6th gen I currently have), so

Fairly good competitor to the Apple Pencil

I have an Adonit Pencil and used to have an Apple Pencil 2. I've compared the accuracy of both and while the Apple Pencil is slightly better I don't think it's for me to use (just Notes) worth the price difference. Yes, the Apple Pencil is better and allows you to tilt the stylus to get different types of writing strokes and it's more accurate, but not THAT. I also prefer to toggle Adonit on and off. I also had an Apple Pencil 1 and the battery was dead from not using it, so I decided to turn…

Very nice palm-safe stylus

I was looking for an alternative to the Apple stylus, mainly for taking notes on my iPad Mini 5, which I use in the small Cessna 172 cockpits. One of the main features I was looking for there was a rejection of the palm. This one works perfectly, no pairing required and super fast on/off. I don't need pressure or tilt sensitivity when taking notes, but I prefer not to have these features to keep my notes stable even when I have to take them in tight spaces or in turbulent conditions on an…

Almost like a pencil without the Apple price!

I recently got a new iPad Pro 12.9 instead of the first generation 9.7 Pro. As a teacher, I use iPad and Apple TV with Keynote instead of PowerPoint and needed a pen. I was a fan of the first Apple Pencil but couldn't justify buying the second version at such a high price. I read about Adonit Note on Cult of Mac and decided to give it a try for $50 versus a $129 pencil. That's a great thing! It's just as responsive as the Pencil but cheaper. While it doesn't have pressure sensitivity, I don't…

The perfect companion for the 11-inch iPad Pro (2018)

After paying over $100 for the first Apple Pencil, I didn't want to pay another $129 for the second version. Since the first generation Apple Pencil is not compatible with 2018 iPad Pro models, I started looking for another solution. I discovered Adonit Note on Revain and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I took the risk! It works seamlessly with my iPad Pro. Just like the Apple Pencil. I mainly use it with the Good Notes 4 app. The only adjustment I had to make was to set the default…

Pen tip wears out very quickly

1. Many reviewers say it works just like the Apple Pencil. In fact, it supports neither pressure nor tilt. Please note this. (Just a reminder to other users, that's not why I left a star) 2. The pen tip wears out very quickly and you will see noticeable wear after just one stroke (see photo). I've been using an Apple Pencil for a week and I don't see any wear at all. So you save some money on the pen and spend more on tips! $15 for three clues!3. The position of the power button makes it very…

Great alternative to Apple Pencil and Logitech Crayon

I've only been using it for a day but I really like it. I have a second generation Apple Pencil for iPad Pro and a Logitech "Crayon" for iPad mini 5 and iPad Pro. I use the stylus for notes and annotations, not for drawing. Crayon and Note don't have the same features as Pencil, but since I don't use them for drawing, I don't skip those features (except double-tap to erase). I really wanted to use the same stylus on both of my iPads (the 2nd gen pencil doesn't work on the mini). That's why I…
