Great easy to use charger.

For my use the charger worked very well. I've used it to charge both a 12v deep cycle trolling motor battery and a 12v starter battery on my car kit boat. After connecting the charger's battery cables and connecting to the AC power supply, the charger would display the battery's charging status, charging voltage and charging current. The device never overheated and charged the batteries quickly. If you need a small, compact battery charger, this is great.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Battery cables too short. The AC cord is also too short. The automatic function assumes that the 24V consumed is 12V and does not charge. 10A actually only charges. The "User's Guide" is a stupid useless hodgepodge in bad English that only explains the obvious. There is no explanation for all panel lights or what the flashing colors mean. The low-contrast display is difficult to read unless the angle is right and the distance is no more than 20 inches. However, it will eventually charge a 12V…

Best try this Money Maker/Saver. & Don't try this at home.

I very rarely write reviews, wish they would stop asking. This product is amazing! Refurbished 4 batteries (2 Sla and 2 AGM). I wanted to sell them for scrap. Wonderful. It even "shocked" a 12-year-old 12V Makita (Li Ion.) battery from 9V to 11.5V, enough for the original charger to recognize and charge it. Although I don't recommend it and it's not designed for Li Ion. Lithium-ion batteries are prone to catching fire and exploding, so don't try this at home. I'm a professional with a…

Read unreliable

When I connected it to an undercharged battery with auto-charge enabled, after about 1.5 hours my battery showed up to about 64% of its capacity. When I switched it to manual loading, it showed the capacity was around 40%. This was done on several undercharged batteries. So I tried it with batteries in my cars that I knew were working properly and charged properly. Again, there were two different readings for auto and manual loading, and the difference was quite large, not just a few percentage

Works great, but problem with radio interference.

I tried this on the recommendation of someone who I think is knowledgeable about solar and wind technology. Indeed, this device does a great job when it comes to returning and storing some batteries. But beware radio amateurs, mine puts out terrible RF interference in the HF part of the spectrum, especially in the 3,600-3,999kHz band (75/80m bands). Even though I use it in my backup power supply I just figured I couldn't turn it on while the radio was playing. With that in mind, I'm pretty sure

  • Hard to say

Automatic and easy to use.

I bought this charger to charge 12v and 24v systems on my new boat. When connected to a 12 or 24 volt system, it will automatically detect and display which system it is connected to. It also reports the charge status of the batteries. It then also reports the amperage at which it is being charged, which will eventually decrease as the battery is charged. When the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically goes into service mode, but at this point I unplug it to avoid wearing out the…

  • Almost OK
